On the second level, you cannot select multiple characters following the on screen directions with either trackpad or a mouse.

Controls do not work as the game instructions. Some scenes go by to fast and several of the puzzles are confusing. Several times you need to select multipule characters and it doesn’t work as discribed. Needs a major bug fix.

tedious, the controls are frustrating

Slow and boring. You migth want to try if you have missed the 90s, just to see what your big bros used to have in terms of graphics. Otherwise… don’t bother. This is not a real adventure game. We had much much better on C64…

nice but very-very short

i’ll never buy anymore a game featured on Mac App store home page.. it’s not that this game is bad.. but it really doesn’t deserve it. the game is so slow to play, UI and UX is quite frustrating.. the first hour of game says quite nothing.. well i don’t think i’ll ever buy any game anymore on app store

I’ve only been playing for a few minutes, but I’m already having an annoying issue. The prompt says to “hold shift and drag to select” the two characters I need to get to follow me, but that doesn’t work. I’m not sure if it’s a port issue, and we need to use a different key on a Mac, or if it’s a different problem. But either way, it’s very annoying to have to repeatedly switch between characters to walk to the next spot over and over. Please help!!

I was looking forward to playing this game. The 1st chapter is very quick to play. I’m now at the beginning of the 2nd chapter and one of the first things you have to do is lead the science officer to your spaceship. You are supposed to do this by holding the Shift key and dragging the mouse across the protagonist and the science officer to select both characters. Unfortunately I simply can’t make this work. If I hold the Shift key and drag across them the map scrolls rather than selecting the characters. I’ve retarted both the app and my computer and still no luck. My shift key clearly works as I’m able to capitalize letters while writing this review. Very frustrating. I’m going to have to ask Apple for a refund since I can’t make it any further in the game.

To move two players hold down the SHIFT key and drag a box as if you were doing a ‘CUT-N-PASTE’ it will draw a box, enlarge that box to contain the characters that you wish to move and they will then get selected (box above their heads) you can then guide them.

Just bought the game and already having problems with the technicalities. In play instructions stating, “hold shift and drag to select scientist and private,” don’t seem to work for the Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.2. I want my $4.99 back.

So, to the review below. It seems that if you NEVER enter full screen, the “hold shift and drag” function DOES work!

Agreed. I entered full screen. Now the controls don’t work. Needs to be fixed or refunded. Especially, since they did the obvious plant “Editors Choice.” Their choice was to make money at the cost of the customer.

There’s really not much point to this “game”. All you do is click to wander around, read the text of the non-interactive conversations, then wander around some more. I think I played until chapter 5 or 6 and then you finally get to do SOMETHING, you can click on an alien to shoot him. That’s it, then more reading non-interactive text and wandering around. Pointless, waste of money, waste of time.

Too bad they let this horrible bug through. Fortunately, you can fix it by restarting the game and leaving it in windowed mode. Otherwise a very engaging and beatiful game. Almost as good as the iOS version. Only docking one star since there’s a (semi)reasonable workaround for the bug.

This game progresses way too slowly. Shift Select works in version 1.0.1 so thats a plus.

The concept is good - and it worked well for about 3 minutes, while finishing the first level. After that, everything stops working. I could no longer click the mouse to move, the screen wouldn’t move when I dragged… It’s very buggy. No ready for primetime. Unfortunately I already gave up $5.
